I found myself on the back of a Harley last Saturday headed for Big Sur. The weather in Monterey was warm and sunny, but I dressed warm in case the coastal air was cooler.

There was no need; Mother Nature gifted us with warmth AND sun AND on a weekend, no less! Traffic was light, and we easily kept up with our friend Robby’s BMW motorcycle (Lori Allen was there too!). We were meeting Robby’s daughter and her family for lunch at the River Inn; since we were early we headed down a little further to Nepenthe.

We returned to the River Inn, and lunch was great (as usual).

Then Robby did a little dance: I should mention Rob Holt is an accomplished dancer and artist; his Lone Cypress statues are sold at Pebble beach.
