Carmel’s Basil Seasonal Dining Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

1 July 2009 88 views No Comment

Basil. It is delicious. It is generous. It is in Carmel. It is open late.

Basil Seasonal Dining, located in the Doud Arcade on San Carlos between Ocean & 7th in Carmel, is already off to a strong start. During the reception following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, several tourists were drawn to the courtyard, having heard great recommendations; some even had made reservations and wanted the Chamber members to move on already.

DonnaIvensExecutive Chef and owner Michele Cremonese offers a menu described as “California Cuisine” because he is incorporating local ingredients; he stated his current menu will be amended to keep current with seasonal offerings from the Central Coast.

The restaurant is tiny. Think intimate. But also think special attention, which is abundant.

Basil’s generous ribbon-cutting ceremony included wine, fruit drinks, and well-received trays of appetizers.

Donna Ivens of Monterey Peninsula Reservations noted how attractive late night offerings are, especially with Asian and East Coast visitors who often are looking for interesting choices well into the evening. “I book many reservations for clients who want late-night options; Basil will be at the top of the list.”

Having already dined at Basil Seasonal Dining, I can readily tell and tempt you…the simplicity, purity, and heart of the man who is Michele Cremonese will not disappoint.

Michele came to Carmel from Verona Italy, has devoted himself to Carmel, and has impressed many sophisticated palates in short order.

Treat yourself to Basil Seasonal Dining.
