Chartwell School Monterey Bay 1st U.S. LEED Platinum Campus

1 March 2009 635 views No Comment

Chartwell School in Monterey Bay has backed up its’ commitment to a healthy learning environment by building the first “…complete educational campus in the country to be LEED Platinum certified.”  ( from Douglas Atkins, Executive Director.  www.chartwell.org.)

Chartwell School was developed in the early 1980’s after shocking test scores revealed a high number of students remained functionally illiterate after being graduated from High School.  Chartwell recognizes that people learn as individuals, and recognizing different visual and hearing-related challenges, and helping students develop a new skill set is key.

There is an Admissions Open House this month:

  • Sunday March 22 | 11am – 2pm
  • 2511 Numa Watson Road
  • Seaside CA 93955 | Call (831) 394.3468

Learn about Chartwell’s skill-based, diagnostic education programs, summer school program and fall enrollment, and explore the green campus!
