Grape Stake Fencing Monterey CA

grape stake fence

Reclaimed grape stakes make beautiful fencing and siding. Wilder Wheelwright of Monterey is known as “The Grape Stakes Guy.” His grape stakes are aged (which is a good thing; older redwood is stronger) with a fine patina. Watch this video for some creative grape stake fencing ideas.

Wilder has a great supply, and it’s a great time to get your fencing up in time for summer. Stop by Wilder’s website; besides grape stake fencing, he has hand-painted raisin trays by Deirdre O’Donnell.

My contractor (Ernie Killett) ordered a hundred plus stakes from you and the fence is BEAUTIFUL!! Placed between brick pillars and they look elegant! We did the back of the fence that is not hidden by bushes and I need 8 more stakes!! Ernie mentioned that you have a short pile of stakes somewhere near me – I live in Carmel-by-the-Sea. May I buy 8 more stakes from you and if so, where are you and where can I pay you? And how much?

If you want to take a picture of our fence for your ads, you certainly may. I can’t believe how handsome our fence is, and neighbors have also raved about it! People often think grape stakes are just for old fashion country fences. We proved them wrong!!

I wrote to you (I believe) a day or so ago. We are looking for a limited number of grape stakes to do a repair on an existing fence. Do you have any that we could purchase, or advice on where we could locate some locally. We are in San Clemente, Ca. (half way between LA and San Diego). (fence is 5 feet, but probably need 6 foot stakes.) Hope to hear from you soon. Thank-you!
