Monterey Aquarium Otter Plays Piano

4 July 2009 280 views One Comment

Meet Dua, an Asian fresh water otter at the Monterey Aquarium.. Yeah, Dua is a show-off for sure; the idea though is to display otters’ dexterity and lengthen feeding times. All for our entertainment and education. The Aquarium even uses a Yamaha keyboard.

Don’t forget the other talented otter photographer spotted in the Elkhorn Slough!

The Monterey Aquarium also has cute baby sea otters.

On a sadder note, recently we covered the news that otter numbers are dropping; please read what you can do to help the Monterey Bay restore its natural ecosystem.

Learn more about otters from the Monterey Aquarium’s Wild About Otters site.
