Monterey has the pleasure of hosting three world-famous music festivals in the month of September. All events are being held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds, 2004 Fairgrounds Road, Monterey, CA 93940

September 4-6: Monterey Bay Reggaefest 2009

BluesFestival1The 14th Annual Monterey Bay Reggaefest 2009 is a 3-day celebration that will take place on the first weekend of September 4th, 5th and 6th 2009. The Monterey Bay Reggaefest is more than an event, it is a cultural celebration and is enjoyed by people from all walks of life.

Known as one of the best reggae festivals in Northern California, the event offers activities and enjoyment for the entire family. Look forward to over twenty-five performances, a D.J. party, full bars (21+) in the Turf Club and Beer Garden, a play area for children of all ages.

September 18-20: Monterey Jazz Festival

The 52nd Annual Monterey Jazz Festival presented by Verizon will take place at the Monterey Fairgrounds, September 18 – 20, 2009 with over 500 artists performing on 9 stages for 3 nights and 2 days of the world’s best jazz. Music will be spread throughout the Fairground’s 20 magnificent acres.

September 27: Monterey Rock Festival

Heart is headlining the Monterey Rock Fest 2009 at the Monterey Fairgrounds, along with Billy Squier and Tyler Bryant.
